(Blanco Y Negro – [NEG 8T], 1985) [SCOT]

The second single release from The Jesus & Mary Chain, in support of their first album Psychocandy, with two non-album B-Side tracks. More noise and distortion.

The first release by Scotland's The Jesus & Mary Chain and also an early release on nascent record label Creation from 1984. The band really delivers on the the wall-of-sound with grating and squealing feedback.

My Bloody Valentine - Sunny Sundae Smile 12"
(Lazy Records – [LAZY 04T], 1987) [IRE]

Another 12" single from My Bloody Valentine, their third release this time on Lazy Records. Again, still before the introduction of Bilinda Butcher to the group, but still getting closer to their more familiar sound. Love these lyrics -- if you really listen closely...

MY BLOODY VALENTINE - THE NEW RECORD BY... 12" (KALEIDOSCOPE SOUND [KS 101], 1986) [IRE]

My Bloody Valentine - The New Record By.. 12"
(Kaleidoscope Sound – [KS 101], 1986) [IRE]

The second 12" single release from My. Bloody Valentine. Released on Kaleidoscope Sound in 1986, with Dave Conway doing some vocals and prior to Bilinda joining the group. You can hear the beginnings of them coming into their 'sonic sound.' Some of my favorite MBV stuff is this 80s indiepop/twee stuff before the full on shoegaze records.

The Wake - Major John 7"
(Sarah Records – [SARAH 48], 1991) [SCOT]

The second single release on Sarah Records from The Wake, who released this 7" single in 1991. Kind of middle of the career for the band going for a more indie pop sound after their earlier Factory Record days and earlier synth-pop stuff. Love both eras equally!

Ten Boy Summer - Demo TAPE

The Party of Helicopters - Midnight In The Garden Of Good And Evil... Preferably Evil TAPE
(Voice Of The Sky, 1998) [USA]

A cassette tape released by The Party of Helicopters from 1998 on Voice of the Sky. Jamie confirms the number of cassettes made – "We made like 50 of those tapes for an east coast tour. It was supposed to be released as a 10” on voice of the sky records but it never came out." Some tracks here that do not appear on their discography CD, I believe.
