The second 12" single release from My. Bloody Valentine. Released on Kaleidoscope Sound in 1986, with Dave Conway doing some vocals and prior to Bilinda joining the group. You can hear the beginnings of them coming into their 'sonic sound.' Some of my favorite MBV stuff is this 80s indiepop/twee stuff before the full on shoegaze records.

A promotional release for the French "Les Inrockuptibles" magazine. Issued in cardboard slipcase. One of the final things released by My Bloody Valentine before their hiatus and return. Only Shallow was probably the first song that I heard of theirs while I was in 11th grade maybe, in a half-asleep dazed it was like a beautiful fever dream.

My favorite My Bloody Valentine song tends to change all the time, for the longest time it was Never Say Goodbye from this 12" on Lazy Records from 1987. I believe the first release of the band that Bilinda Butcher appeared on, and where their "sound" really comes into its own.

My absolute favorite release from My Bloody Valentine is this 1987 mini-LP on Lazy Records. Yea, you could listen to Ecstasy & Wine, but I minor-ly dislike two of those three songs. Love these songs even more if you peel back the layer of noise to get to the poppy and sappy lyrics.
