A repressing of The Pastels single from two years earlier, this 4-song EP contains two extra songs (2 live tracks on the B-side). Released 1984 on Villa21 Records.
I'm a big ignoramous, but I'm always surprised when I hear a "british" band and just assume they are from England -- when in fact they are from Scotland or Wales or Ireland. Probably my favorite release from Glasgow, Scotland's, The Orchids, released on Sarah Records from 1990.
Here's a good one, the 1996 CDEP release of A Craze's EP originally released in 1982. Unfortunately, I don't know how, but I'm missing the last track of this CDEP, which is an instrumental version of "Keeping The Boys Amused", which is a shame, but the other songs are too fantastic too miss out on!
I love this CD from England's Smalltown Parade with Paul Bevoir. He did the whole mod-revival thing in the 80s with his previous group, The Jetset, and this is the whole hippy mod-revival thing going on here again in the 1990s. On Japanese label Polystar from 1993.
Early group UK group featuring Rick Corcoran in Orange with this CDEP release from 1994 on Chrysalis Records. Very 90s/baggy/radio pop hits that are definitely overlooked.
Changing gears and adding this hot little euro disco 12" from Lustt! Lovely cover of an earlier Sylvia (Robinson) song and an instrumental version on the B-side.
The second single release from England's Razorcuts, on Subway Organization from 1986. This 12" version contains two additional songs not on the 7" version. Enjoy!
An early 12" single from Primal Scream, who had quite a shift in sound throughout their career (not a bad thing!) I just really, really like early Primal Scream when they were doing the whole 60s paisley pop thing over the more electronic Primal Scream. Wonderful Shadows of Knight cover on the B-side.
Another fantastic mid 80s English indie pop group, The Flatmates. This time their first 7" single on Bristol, UK based label Subway Organization. 1986.
Holly Golighlty solo 7" here (ex. member of Thee Headcoatees) with a 7" on Vinyl Japan from 1995. Great garage/rockabilly sounding songs from one of the best!
