The first vinyl release from Olympia, Washington seminal indie pop group, Beat Happening, featuring Calvin Johnson who is also founder of the label in which the single was released, the also equally seminal label, K Records.
Split 7" on green vinyl from the Japanese label 100 Guitar Mania Records between Switzerland's Sportsguitar and Denver, Co's The Apples in Stereo. The second chapter as part of the label's Stolen Ecstasy 45 Series, that always features international groups paired together.
An early 7" single release from Japanese group Favourite Marine from 1992. Featuring Hideki Kaji on bass and a featuring vocal from Kahimi Karie on the B-Side.
Lately, I have been building a lengthy power-pop/punk type of playlist to listen to on shuffle and I asked my buddy, Mike, if he had any recommendations for some lesser known power-pop gems, singles, songs, whatever. He told me that this was one of his favorites -- and it is quickly becoming mine! Roy Loney of The Flamin' Groovies with a solo effort here and each time I listen to it my favorite track switches between all four.

(Ebullition Records – [By-Product #10,000], 1991) [USA]
A split 8" Flexi Disc release between Born Against and Suckerpunch. I absolutely love the spoken word piece here by Born Against (and I'm assuming written and spoken by Sam McPheeters, who always has a way with words). All time classic. As sad and maddening as it is, the spoken word piece is very timely and relevant today in 2024 as it was in 1991. Unfortunately.
A lo-fi cassette tape compilation titled "Straight To Hellas" released out of Greece featuring 17 Greek bands performing cover songs [honestly, it looks like 16 groups, because there are two tracks from Blue Jeans]. Live?
01. Villa 21 - Real Cool Time
02. The Mushrooms - Roadrunner
03. No Man's Land - Psycho
04. Next To Nothing - No Fun
05. Εκτός Ελέγχου - Jumpin' Jack Flash
06. Γκούλαγκ - Too Drunk To Fuck
07. Blue Jeans - Wipe Out

Buck Owens - Act Naturally / Over and Over Again 7"
(Capitol Records – [4937], 1963) [USA]
A 7" single from country musician Buck Owens with a song I really love 'Act Naturally'. I originally heard it performed by The Beatles, but when I heard Buck's version -- that's the definitive version for me!
