I'm a big ignoramous, but I'm always surprised when I hear a "british" band and just assume they are from England -- when in fact they are from Scotland or Wales or Ireland. Probably my favorite release from Glasgow, Scotland's, The Orchids, released on Sarah Records from 1990.
