PLUNGER - SELF TITLED 7" (EXHALATION, 1994) [USA]

Plunger - Self Titled 7"
(Exhalation, 1994) [USA]

American emo/hardcore group, Plunger, from Maryland with their first 7" single released on Exhalation Records in 1994. I feel this was their most 'hardcore' record, when their following stuff, to me, sounded a little more twinkling and emo. This still is my favorite material of theirs! (except for maybe the two tracks on their split 7" with William Martyr 17)

Life Without Buildings - Young Offenders 7"
(Tugboat Records – [TUGS 026], 2001) [SCOT]

A 7" single from Scottish indie group Life Without Buildings, originally released as a CD in the year 2000, this 7" came out the following year in 2001; same tracks though. I believe 'Young Offenders' is a different version that what appears on their album.

CAMBRIA - SELF TITLED 7" (DIESELHEAD RECORDS [DHR-003], 1994) [USA]

Cambria - Self Titled 7"
(Dieselhead Records – [DHR-003], 1994) [USA]

The only single by another California emo group, Cambria, released on Dieselhead Records in 1994. Kinda lo-fi indie-rock-ish that can get a modicum of loud at times.

THE PENNIKURVERS - SELF TITLED 7" (DIESELHEAD RECORDS [DHR-004], 1995) [USA]

The Pennikurvers - Self Titled 7"
(Dieselhead Records – [DHR-004], 1995) [USA]

The only single by this California emo group,
The Pennikurvers, released on Dieselhead Records in 1995. Bordering on the line of indie-rock, I love this kind of stuff. Not too many of the "screamo-emo" bands hold up for me in my later years that I would listen to in my youth..it's more along these lines. Jangling guitars and vocals on the softer side.

George Jones & Gene Pitney - George Jones & Gene Pitney LP
(Musicor Records – [MM 2044], 1965) [USA]

Another country record I cannot get enough us, is this album of George Jones & Gene Pitney. Which, I believe is their first of two collaboration records they did. I almost always skip the first song -- like always -- but the other songs are classics!

PETER TEVIS - UN PUGNO DI ... WEST LP (RCA ITALIANA [PML 10402], 1965) [ITA]

Peter Tevis - Un Pugno Di ... West LP
(RCA Italiana – [PML 10402], 1965) [ITA]

My first post for 2024, and it's a country western LP out of Italian spaghetti genre with orchestration by Ennio Morricone and vocals by American, Peter Tevis. Been listening to a lot of country, figure I'll post some here in the new year! Along with the typical fare.
