Another short-lived band that I think gets often overlooked is The Great Unraveling from Baltimore, Maryland featuring Tonie Joy [Moss Icon, Born Against, Universal Order of Armageddon]. Released on Vermiform in 1996. Love the simple art for this one too, always stood out to me.

I'm always discovering new-to-me music and I have to say I am late on hearing about crooner Richard Hawley. Of all places, I discovered him in an Instagram story, just a snippet, and I downloaded his album 'Cole's Corner' and I fell in love! This is a single of the era of Cole's Corner featuring an alternative version of an album track 'Hotel Room', as well as a live acoustic song, and an odd-ball cover of Jesus & Mary Chain's 'Some Candy Talking', my favorite.

A nice often looked-over 12" release from Guided By Voices released in 1996. I'm surprised I have not posted anything of theirs yet considering how many releases they have and how much I listen to them. This 12" comes during their prime era (imo), and has nothing but solid tracks.
