FRIENDLY SCIENCE ORCHESTRA - MINIATURE ALBUM 7" (FRIENDLY SCIENCE ENREGISTERMENTS [FS03], 1998) [UK]

Friendly Science Orchestra - Miniature Album 7"
(Friendly Science Enregistrerments [fs03], 1998) [UK]

Wonderful little short 7" "mini album" from Friendly Science Orchestra (Ian Masters of Pale Saints). I like the opening track where he sings a sweet one in Japanese.

THE DELGADOS - UNDER CANVAS UNDER WRAPS CDEP (CHEMIKAL UNDERGROUND [CHEM 006CD], 1996) [UK]

The Delgados - Under Canvas Under Wraps CDEP
(Chemikal Underground [CHEM 006CD], 1996) [UK]

Nice 4-song CDEP from Scottish indie rock band The Delgados. Love the opening track!

THE CHERRY SMASH - WEST COAST RIP-OFF 7" (CANDY FLOSS [CF-010], 1995) [US]

The Cherry Smash - West Coast Rip-Off 7"
(Candy Floss [CF-010], 1995) [US]

Three groovy lo-fi songs from California's The Cherry Smash sometime around 95/96 on Candy Floss. Later reformed as Spectacle and re-recorded two of these songs which are quite different - but still fantastic.

SPECTACLE - GLOW IN THE DARK SOUL CD (SUPREME RECORDINGS [314-524- 525-2], 1998) [US]

Spectacle - Glow In The Dark Soul CD
(Supreme Recordings [314-524 525-2], 1998) [US]

I really loved this 7" by The Cherry Smash & Further I'm about to post, but first I'm going to post up this CD by LA band, Spectacle. Who apparently was the band made up of former members of Further & The Cherry Smash and formed as Spectacle and re-recorded some of their earlier songs. It's hard to decided if I like the fuzzy lo-fi recordings of Further more or if I like these more polished recordings from Spectacle. You decide.

ORANGE CAKE MIX - OBSERVATIONS OF TOMORROW AND TODAY 12" (BLACKBEAN AND PLACENTA TAPE CLUB [BBPTC17], 1995) [US]

Orange Cake Mix - Observations of Tomorrow and Today
Single-Sided Mini-Album 12"
(Blackbean and Placenta Tape Club [BBPTC17], 1995) [US]

A single-sided 12" from Orange Cake Mix on Blackbean and Placenta Tape Club from 1995. I remember passing over this in the used sections a couple of times before finally pulling the trigger and buying it (it just looked so pathetic with a flimsy sheet of paper as the cover and no real packaging). Glad I bought it though, great lo-fi songs.

FREE LOAN INVESTMENTS - YOUTH WILL UNDERSTAND 7" (BOOFF [BOOFF 001], 2001) [SWE]

Free Loan Investments - Youth Will Understand 7"
(BOOFF [BOOFF 001], 2001) [SWE]

I can't say I really know much or anything about this Swedish indie group, Free Loan Investments, what I can say is I enjoy their music. This is their first single on BOOFF from 2001.

TWA TOOTS - THE PEEL SESSIONS 12" (STRANGE FRUIT [SFPS 010], 1986) [UK]

Twa Toots - The Peel Sessions 12"
(Strange Fruit [SFPS 010], 1986) [UK]

The band essentially recorded this session with John Peel and kind of disappeared. Fantastic four songs from this early 80s UK group, Twa Toots.

MIGHTY MIGHTY - EVERYBODY KNOWS THE MONKEY 7" (GIRLIE RECORDS [GAY 1], 1986) [UK]

Mighty Mighty - Everybody Knows The Monkey 7"

Boyracer & The Ropers - Split Tour 7"
(I Wish I Was A Slumberland Record [WISH 005], 1994) [US]

A song from each band here The Ropers & Boyracer clocking in around four minutes each approximately which is nice for Boyracer, I tend to like their longer tracks. I Wish I Was A Slumberland Records from 1994.
