Keeping with the German theme so far today, here is another German indie pop group, The Sheets, also released in 1991. From Blue Records. I'd love to hear the German band members pronounce their name with their thick German accents. Something about that makes me laugh.

Another Factory Records 12" single release, this time from Electronic; a supergroup featuring Bernard Sumner [of New Order] and Johnny Marr [of The Smiths]. This is their first hit single, a little more dancey, a little more club, than their later stuff (which I honestly enjoy their later mid90s work more!)

This is the second CD of a 2xCD set release from 2007 of Ghosts of the Great Highway. Originally released in 2003. One of my favorite works of Kozelek and this 2nd CD has some choice cuts; alternative takes, demos, acoustic, and a live radio recording.
